Understanding structure and workflow is the fast track to master GarageBand. In this article we will learn how to add DRUMMERs and select PRESETs.
Online manual is worth reading before playing around with.

1. Add Drummer
Adding drummers is first thing to do. You can add maximum 2 Drummers from any Genres (2 Same Drummers/ 2 from Same-Genre/ 1 each from 2 Different-Genres).
To add Acoustic Drummers, tap Acoustic drum-set logo.
"Kyle" is defaultly selected from Acoustic drummers. Acoustic drum-set logo is shown on the left of "Drummer Region".
"Half-pipe" is defaultly selected from "Presets".
If you do not like "Kyle", you can tap "Trash box" to delete him.
Tap "Top Menu Icon" to go back and select other Drummer (Next Fig).
If you want to create "Kyle" again, tap "Create" to recreate him. "Kyle" with Default Preset: "Half-pipe" will be recreated (Prev. Fig) .
Start again to select Drummer. Tap "More Drummers" to select by "Name of Drummer".
Or tap "Acoustic/Electronic/(Percussion)" to select Default Drummer of each Genre.
Default Drummer of "Electronic".
Tap "Electronic" icon...
Default Drummer "Leah" with Preset of "After Hours" is created.
Default Drummer of "Percussion".
Tap "Percussion" icon...
Default Percussionist "Isabela" with Preset of "Coconut Grove" is created.
2. Select PRESETs
Here is the list of DRUMMERs and their PRESETs. Checked PRESET is default setting.
Description of DRUMMER's profiles are cited from "GarageBand for iPhone".
There are 21 DRUMMERs & PERCUSSIONISTs. Some of them were added by installation of "Sound Libraries".
PRESET Named "Freestyle" is listed on both Curtis & Maurice.
Only Dez has 9 PRESETs. Others have 8 PRESETs.
